Damaged

I can barely remembering the last time I spend on a novel. Too much time on drama. too much time on FB. Recently, I start to cut down my time on FB as somehow I realise it starts to ruin my 'organic' life. Easily accessible for unrelated strangers and restrained privacy.Instead of a connection and sharing platform, it somehow turn into a show-off medium. Purely my own opinion. No offense.

Regarding the topic, I've just finished a novel. A novel which i purposelessly borrowed from my friend. It is a novel about a child who is seriously abuse by her biological parents. This is my first time to come to contact with such a sensitive but medical-related reading material. And, it's chilling to know that there is something cruelty actually happening somewhere we dont know.

The story of this poor girl known as Jodie is written down by her foster mother who names Cathy. Fostering has become part of Cathy after divorced. She met various kind of children who have different level of damaged personality and Jodie is the worst case she ever met. However, as time goes by, with all the hardship, she  failed to deal with Jodie's crushed personality in terms of lacking professional knowledge to give proper treatment. Eventually, Jodie sent for proper treatment, yet, she is unable to fully recover due to delay developmental caused by physical abuse enforce on her as early as 8 months old.  

I am personally surprise on how good Cathy describe all the events happened on Jodie.She well describe the fit's processes.How Jodie display crushed personality when she is changeable between  two characters whom known as Amy and Reg. The story also included the impacts after the child being sexually abused by her own father, uncles and father's friends. It is especially highlight the association between the behaviour of Jodie with sexual abused she had gone through. Jodie tend to kiss the inner thigh of her doll while she is playing. Deep in her mind, that's the way which she had been taught about kissing when she is actually sexual abused by the adult. She also tend to remembering major part of the damaged memories when she used to tell others that her dad will frequently pee on her mouth  ( oral sex)and she will automatically take off her clothes when she was on camera. All these unusual behavior give us an insight how frequent the child has been abused and leave on such an long-term impact on her. It is sad to read and to know how beastly a human can be.

Reading the novel somehow remind me of the possibility to encounter with such special case in my future career. Only with good level of knowledge and training then I am able to reach out to more damaged souls. Such a huge resposible huh.....

It is also pretty much depress to get know how people fail to get over the hormone desire and sexually abuse a child.For me, I guess for most of the girls, it should be a very blissful moment involving two in love adults instead of becoming an beastly action towards innocent.Innocents included the kids, underage girls/boys...etc.How much courage to need to show nudity for other, only with love then the action become reasonably sincere and honorable.From the novel, we cant deny that it indirectly reminds us that the morality among human is going down slope compare with their increasing education level. Pretty sad huh...........  

Good novel though.I guess i might just comment or having load of thought after the reading. Bear with me as it should be months of time before i can reach for my next novel =/
